I'm becoming my mom. What I mean to say is: I am stuck in the old days, when new ways are in-fact better, and I'm too stubborn to admit it/try them/realize.
Almost every-time the kids and I get sick.. what do I do?
Break out the Chicken Noodle Soup, the honey, and yes, the Warm Mist Humidifier.
This thing
Not only was it high maintenance, but it hurt my kids several times (Burning them with the hot steam), and spilled on the carpet too. Not cool.
And O.M.G. you should see how filthy the thing makes the water after about 24 hours!!!

I knew there was such a thing as a "cool mist humidifier" but I never bought one.. well-- because I am cheap.
There, I said it.
That was then, this is now! Now that I have seen them in action, I know that 40$ is actually a steal!

As I was saying...These cool mist humidifiers kinda remind me of the misters you see that spray the gardens at the zoo during the hottest days of summer.
They are almost magical.
Ironically when we were sent it in the mail for review, we were already sick. Isn't that about how it works?
Oh the irony!
In fact, every time we'd get better, we'd just get sick again!Where we live on the GA/FL state line, the weather has been so wonky this year, that it only stays cold long enough to make everyone get sick, then it's sweltering hot again.
It is literally still in the upper 80s here.. and it's NOVEMBER!
My friends back home in Alabama say I'm lucky for such warm weather.. but I don't think they know what they are wishing for!!!! You don't want to wish for that, trust me. I do think it contributes to us being sick a lot.
I like knowing that Oscar is (& has been) there for us, throughout these season's changing, seemingly always sick times.
On another note: if you have never seen a cool mist humidifier operate, then you have got to see it!! Video below.
A gallon of water turned on low can last practically days in this thing. Its truly fascinating. I'm all, " How does it work??!" I really think they need to put these neat contraptions on an episode of that popular Television show How Stuff Works, or How It's Made.

They have warm, and cool mist models. Crane is sold nationwide at many popular retailers, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, among others.
Now, I much prefer the Cool Mist Humidifiers myself, and don't see myself ever going back!

I'll tell you what I love about CRANE. On their website, you have the capability to "spin" the products to get a 360* view of the product you are looking to purchase.
I also loved the fact that they are so high quality. I mean, you turn this thing on, and it starts pouring out My daughters are equally fascinated by it, and definitely think it's the coolest thing since sliced bread.
I love how it stands out in the room, but also blends in with the decor. I have had so many people tell me how charming it is, and ask me where I bought it. I have a thing for owls, so I had to get this model/design, even though really, the Dragon called more to me.
I thought the dragon would've been tres` cool, but I ultimately let my 7 year old pick between several, since I had a hard time choosing, and she picked Oscar the Owl.
At first, I kicked myself for letting her pick! I was hoping she'd pick the dragon.
I have so much owl what-nots and themed things around here, Oscar fits in better here than even I thought he would & it was only natural we picked him.
I got this humidifier in the beginning of September.
I have yet to have any issues with it, and I am oh so-in-love with him, he's now an extended member of our family. I use Oscar almost daily!
If he ever breaks, I will definitely buy another Crane cool mist humidifier.
