Info Post
CLOSED!!!

Have you ever tried sharing one of your favorite fairytales with a child in your life, and kind of winced when the ending wasn’t so happy, or a rather scary character was introduced, and the child cringed? Well, now fairytales are scare-free and more Disney-esque, thanks to two former Disney executives who created My1story. It’s a story land where Goldie & the Teddy Bears or Lil' Riding Hood & Wolfie share and care for each other -- making sweet dreams possible every time you hear the story.  These books are written and illustrated for children ages 3 and up.

I was sent preview books, but it's good- I don't have to worry about her tearing up an expensive hardcover book. But, the winner will receive the expensive hardcover books. As you can see she totes them around everywhere, in the rain, in the car, in Wal*Mart.. upstairs- downstairs...
She'll sit down and pretend to "Read it!"  (that's what she says when she sits & flips) or she throws it at me and says: "Read it please Momma!"  She is only two, but she has a deep interest in books- just like her older sister did. I think it's wonderful and I love to encourage this and help it blossom. Giana reads to her all the time, and we take little trips to our local library!!!

She likes the I Love Cake book best! The pictures are so cute in the books, the story-line flows smoothly, and it is a gentle age appropriate book for Devonny!

The initial My1story books made their debut at amazon.com this June! Each storybook introduces classic fairy tale characters -- now in the public domain -- but in a new story twist. The loveable, never scary, illustrations are by Jaime Rodriguez, a former Walt Disney Company character artist. Makeovers transformed sinister players like the big bad wolf into a mischievous but approachable wolf cub. The giant in Jack & the Beanstalk transforms into Beanie, still a giant but a young, small, friendly one. I Love Cake and Jack and the Magic Beans are the first two books off the presses.

The company has a Youtube channel to feature videos of its characters and story concepts even before they become full books, as well as games that are featured on their website. Check out their latest video “Humpty’s Flying Adventure” and more at youtube.com/user/myfirstory and consider subscribing to keep up with the company’s latest. And, if you visit the website www.myfirstory.com you can view the games, fun stuff and characters and gain ONE extra EXTRA entry by leaving a comment with something they enjoyed or learned. It’s a site appropriate for children so they can visit and play with their child if they like!
